Teak/Ipe-Rectangle Doormats
Our Mister Boardwalk® Wooden Doormats combine durability, functionality, and distinctive style. Available in both Sunburst and Rectangular designs, these mats are built using the same materials and flexible rope construction as our Roll-Out Boardwalk Walkways, creating a strong and long-lasting outdoor mat.
The open slat design allows mud, sand, snow, and water to fall through the mat, helping keep your entryway cleaner and drier. The flexible wood slats also act like multiple boot scrapers, helping remove dirt before it enters your home.

Teak/Ipe is our premium hardwood doormat option. While we use the term Teak to help customers easily recognize the look and style, the material we supply is actually Ipe—a responsibly harvested South American hardwood known for its exceptional strength and durability.
Ipe is one of the longest-lasting hardwoods available and performs exceptionally well in entryway applications. It naturally resists rot, insects, and moisture, making it ideal for doormats exposed to rain, snow, mud, and daily foot traffic. Its extreme density allows it to handle heavy use while maintaining its shape and structure over time.
Beyond performance, Ipe offers the beauty of a fine natural wood. Each doormat features a tight, elegant grain and rich, warm tones similar to Teak, adding a high-end, natural look to any entryway. Over time, if left untreated, the wood will naturally weather to an attractive silvery-gray patina without compromising durability.
Maintenance Tips
Natural Weathering: Ipe will gradually shift from rich brown tones to a silvery-gray patina when exposed to the elements. This is purely cosmetic and does not affect the performance of the doormat.
Cleaning: Shake out debris regularly and clean with mild soap and water as needed to remove dirt, sand, or mud.
Oiling (Optional): To maintain the original rich color, apply a hardwood oil periodically.
Low Maintenance: Ipe’s density and natural resistance to moisture, rot, and insects make it an excellent long-term, low-maintenance doormat material.
Slat Spacing Options
Mister Boardwalk® Wooden Doormats are available in multiple slat spacing options to suit different environments and preferences.
Narrow Spacing (Most Popular)
Great for bare feet, small pets, and everyday household use. Narrow spacing provides a more refined appearance while still allowing dirt, sand, and debris to fall through the slats.
Wide Spacing
A more open design that allows mud, snow, sand, and debris to fall through easily. This option works especially well for muddy areas, work boots, garages, cabins, and high-debris environments.
