Roll-Out & Modular Boardwalks, Walkways, Decks & More.

No Carpentry Needed.

Material & Construction

Mister Boardwalk® has ingeniously designed our “Roll-Out” and “FlexWalk” products with a distinctive, patented construction that eliminates the need for nails or screws. This innovative approach involves drilling horizontal holes through the slat material, allowing nylon cords or stainless steel rods to be threaded through these holes to create a sturdy and flexible assembly. This method not only enhances the durability and flexibility of the product but also ensures a seamless and elegant finish. Ideal for both residential and commercial spaces, these products offer an easy-to-install and eco-friendly solution, perfect for those seeking both functionality and aesthetic appeal in their outdoor walkways.

Pressure Treated Pine

Pressure Treated Southern Yellow Pine (PT) is indeed a top choice for deck lumber in the USA, thanks to its affordability and durability. This wood undergoes a special treatment process that makes it resistant to rot, termites, mold, and mildew, which are common concerns for outdoor structures. The longevity of PT is proven, even when the wood is in direct contact with the ground, making it an ideal material for products like those offered by Mister Boardwalk®. These attributes ensure that decks and walkways made from PT can withstand various environmental conditions while maintaining their structural integrity and appearance over time. For consumers and businesses alike, choosing PT means investing in a reliable, long-lasting material that balances performance with cost-effectiveness.

Southern Yellow Pine, favored for its strength and versatility, becomes even more durable when pressure treated with ACQ (Alkaline Copper Quaternary), an arsenic-free preservative. For more detailed information visit treatedwood.com

Pressure-treated (PT) wood, while durable, isn't without its drawbacks, particularly when exposed to direct sunlight. Sun exposure can lead to the wood drying out, which causes it to crack, splinter, and warp over time. However, Mister Boardwalk® products offer a clever solution by placing the wood directly on the ground, allowing it to stay damp and supple by drawing moisture from the earth, which helps to minimize these common issues. In shaded areas, PT wood performs exceptionally well.

Teak/ Ipe

We have used the term Teak so the general public will better understand the nature of the material we are offering.

IPE, a remarkable South American hardwood, is gaining recognition as a superior alternative to traditional materials like Teak, Mahogany, and Pressure Treated Pine.

Renowned for its exceptional durability and strength, IPE is responsibly harvested without causing harm to the rainforest, making it an environmentally friendly choice. This dense wood not only rivals but often surpasses other woods in longevity, standing on par with the esteemed "old growth" cypress and cedar heartwood.

Aesthetically, IPE captivates with its tight, elegant grain and rich, warm color, reminiscent of Teak, while naturally weathering to a stunning silvery gray over time. Its unparalleled strength, up to twice as strong as other materials, makes IPE an ideal choice for projects demanding both beauty and resilience. For those interested in learning more about this extraordinary wood, a simple online search for "IPE DECKING" will provide a wealth of detailed information.

Trex®

Trex® composite decking is one of the most popular alternatives to traditional wood, offering a durable and low-maintenance solution for outdoor applications. Made from a blend of recycled wood fibers and plastic, Trex® resists rot and insects making it well-suited for long-term use in a variety of environments.

Trex® is known for its consistent performance and has been widely used across the United States for many years. As a product of a large, established manufacturer, it offers reliability and peace of mind, along with strong customer support and product backing.

Unlike natural wood, Trex® will not splinter, crack, or warp over time. It provides good traction in both wet and dry conditions and meets ADA guidelines for slip resistance. With an expected lifespan of up to 40 years, Trex® is a long-term solution that requires minimal upkeep and no chemical treatments or preservatives.

Because Trex® is heavier than traditional wood, it can increase shipping costs and overall project pricing, particularly for products like Mister Boardwalk®. However, its durability, longevity, and low maintenance requirements make it a strong investment for those seeking a reliable composite material.
